YU-SZE MELODY NG

Yu-Sze Melody Ng graduated in Berklee College of Music (Valencia Campus), Master in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games. She studied film scoring under Lucio Godoy guidance, a renowned film composer in Spain. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Honours) at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019, taking composition as the concentration. She studied composition under the guidance of Matthew Schreibeis, Christopher Coleman, Christopher Keyes, and David Francis Urrows. 

Ng started learning music from an early age. She wrote numerous pieces in a variety of music genres with different instruments. In 2022, she collaborated with Vancouver Film School, and score a short film "En Dehors De Toi", together they won Best LGBTQ+ Short Film in Lady Filmmakers Festival 2022. She also worked as audio editor and sound designer in a Hong Kong TV Drama broadcasted by Viu TV "Into the Wild" (野人老師), and it's the no. 1 drama in Viu TV during the broadcasting period.  In 2021, winning an award, "Honourable Mention: Score" in Festigious Los Angeles Film Festival June 2021 is a mile stone of her career. Warrior was composed for string orchestra and was premiered by the Hong Kong community Philharmonic Orchestra in 2016. In the same year, she scored a film 港式拌碟 for film major students in Hong Kong Academy of Arts. In 2018, her music Warrior, Airways and Squirrel Fight were broadcasted by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK).

Besides, Ng studied piano with Lau Lively Stones, Grace, a professional pianist in Hong Kong. She obtained a distinction LTCL diploma in piano performance in 2018. She was also a member of Hong Kong Baptist University Choir and Hong Kong Baptist University Women’s Chorus.
